The Reece School students are "the best kids in the City". All of the children work hard to meet daily goals and to establish and maintain friendships. Numerous opportunities are offered to encoourage development of social skills that can be carried over into the community and outside recreational events.

All of the children currently at the Reece School receive funding from the Department of Education of New York City and through New York State's Education Department. The Reece School students reflect the multicultural diversity of New York City.
